Back in the spring! March 28
We are headed to Asia soon, back in March. This time perhaps its best to turn off my store(s) but when we are back I will be happy to fill orders and full of new images to create!

I photographed this Beverly Street scene years ago. Drew this poster essentially in 2020? but it needed something I could not name or identify. Perhaps our recent visit to the Met and seeing a Stuart Davis helped this get to where it needed to be? A bit bolder with color, less literal, a bit sunnier, a bit funner?
with the drought it is yet to be seen how many make it though plenty of the natives (locust especially) look to be thriving.
This photo shows random autumn beauties, the fruits of dogwood, magnolia, pecan, persimmon and some sort of olive, the branch with the tiny blue gray berries
And all the folks who work so hard to make Art on the Avenue the blast that it is, year after year. And make it a wonderful community. As usual, I am ready to move there - maybe an apartment in nearby Crystal City?
This fun street fair in Alexandria, VA is tomorrow! In fact we came back from South America for this so the weather better be nice! See you soon!
Think we’ve still got the stars over the Andes twinkling on our eyes. The last few days of travel are catching up to me, will get back to everyone tomorrow or the next day? And wow Virginia is a beautiful place to come home to. We say that every time, I know, but wow lovely.
Orders can be filled until July 9. After that date orders will be taken but may not be filled until late September. Have a great summer.
This view from Shenandoah River State Park, where we vacationed a few years ago, is hard to beat
Watercolor and pencil, small (5x7”?). Made this several years ago.
As an artist, I am a landscape painter and a designer. And drawer. Not a figurative artist, not decorative. My posters are usually in one of these categories and also usually both. The Humpback Rocks poster has changed four times over the years from originally a design/commercial art style to this one which is a landscape painting done as a poster.
Part of an artist’s education. I did this quite a while ago, cannot remember when.
